Which salons in Winnipeg would be best for curly hair?

I'm sick of straightening and want to find a hairdresser that understands curly hair- how to cut it, how I can deal with it on a day to day basis, and how to dye it. I've got a medium curl and my hair isn't too dry or frizzy. Any suggestions?Which salons in Winnipeg would be best for curly hair?

scene hair. its called scene hair. What do you call emo haircuts at salons?
Usually emo's cut their own hair. It's more authentic. Some helpful words you could toss in are like fringe, jagged, and a complete mess....
Just show them a picture..

Are there any Locks of Love salons participating in Worcester County of Massachusetts?

I'm donating my hair within the next couple of days, and the only local Salon I know of that does free haircuts for donors is kind of far away.

Anyone know of any?Are there any Locks of Love salons participating in Worcester County of Massachusetts?
The best way to figure this out would be to just call around local salons and ask. But keep in mind you may not want to go to a salon just because they're cutting it for free (at least I wouldn't want to...) since you're cutting off so much hair. When I cut mine for Locks of Love I still went to my regular salon even though I had to pay for it because I wanted it cut by someone I knew and trusted.. but that's just my opinion...

How can I tell my esthetician that she misses spots when waxing me? Or is this typical at all spas and salons?

I recently started getting waxed and I'm really enjoying it. However, the place that I got to, the lady misses huge patches. I don't really understand how she could miss it because it just seems so obvious and I'm paying her good money. For the most part she does a great job except for the spots she misses! Should I go to to another place or does this happen everywhere? Or how can I politely tell her?How can I tell my esthetician that she misses spots when waxing me? She probably didn't realize it. It's not normal but I'd just tell her.How can I tell my esthetician that she misses spots when waxing me? Or is this typical at all spas and salons?
You're paying for it, so you ought to get what you want. If you're new to the place, I wouldn't be bashful and if you are bashful, maybe it's worth looking around. I've found Yelp to be a very valuable resource for finding new businesses, though they do yank my reviews, which I find very annoying.
I am going to assume you mean on your legs, as it would be obvious that she missed a spot on your bikini line...my waxer misses a strip on my leg fairly often (must me how I lay down). I point it out to her, and she is more than happy to fix the problem spot...
Just tell her how you want whatever your waxing, waxed. She can't read your mind, and she might not know how much you want waxed.

  • Where can i find a real chi straightener for cheaper than the hair salons?

I have a chi, and sadly its not working right, i need a new one! Is there and online website where you can get one for cheaper than they sale at the hair salons? Where can i find a real chi straightener for cheaper than the hair salons?
With the amount of money you'd spend having a salon straighten your hair. Buying a Chi hair straightener will have paid for it's self after a few uses. It's defiantly worth the money.

I have a great straightener by Jilbere and I love mine. I purchased it at http://www.sallybeauty.com

I say whatever it costs, the money you'll spend will be pennies to the amount you'd spend on the trips to the salon...Go for it!Where can i find a real chi straightener for cheaper than the hair salons?
yea, they have them on folica.com and amazon.com

the only thing is, theyre more expensove at the stores because when you buy it at a salon it comes with a one year warranty

buy it from one of the places above, and itll be about half as much...

if you have an ulta store near you, try there. they have CHI's on saale and you can use their 20% coupon.. !

    goodluck

oh and if yours is under a year old, and you bought it at a salon and have the receipt, you can send it to farouk .. the chi manufacterer with a 35$ check adn theyll fix it!
I wouldnt buy a CHI because those are crap . If you took a piece of metal and scraped it along the hot plates it would peel , so instead I bought an I.S.O. stragihtner that has a lifetime guarantee and if it breaks they will send you a new, and I also think it works better than my old CHI .

PLUS they come in cute colors:
