What do people do with the conditioner or shampoo testers in salons and stores?

I mean its not like you can actually use it or anything then and there but when I look at the bottles they're always around empty? So, does anybody know?What do people do with the conditioner or shampoo testers in salons and stores?
it's only the more successful salons who employ shampoo testers. but if i was you, i'd get off my lazy a-- and do some testing at home yourself. and speaking of testing, inglewood city schools did an exhaustive sutdy years ago regarding people and their shampoo habits. seems of all the tests people failed, the shampoo ones were at the top of the list. message to be learned here: keep your hairdresser close, and your shampoo closer.What do people do with the conditioner or shampoo testers in salons and stores?
just ask the salon that your at what they do with it.
You could smell them and feel the texture in your hands.
Smell them by rubbing on your wrist? I've never done it.
