What makes the salons better to have hair dyed?

I've read it is much safer to go to the salon to go from brown to blonde, but what do they use to bleach and dye the hair that is better then the pre-boxed stuff? Couldn't I just buy the products they use and do it myself or is this something only the salons can buy?What makes the salons better to have hair dyed?
actually, my. mom owns her own hair salon shop. I know all about this. even though it may be way cheaper to go to the store and buy it, I would seriously recomend going to the salon. you are looking at something so dramatic as to brown to blonde. you don't want to do it on your own and you don't want somebody else who has no expierence doing it to do YOUR hair. you have to know to properly add it I saw some pretty ****** up hair that they did on their own. it looks so trashy. another reason is because salon dye is more chemicly advanced, the salon dude will have to see how thin and dark and how damaged the hair is in order to determine how much bleach should be used.

salons are professional hairstylist people. professional hairstylist wouldnt ruin/damage your hair. anyways, bleaching your hair is already damaging your hair. i suggest going to a salon but seems you cant afford it just go and buy the products yourself, make sure you know what you're doing (if there are instructions) or get someone who knows how to do it or done it before.
